Our Story

TEB SEMINARY IS A GRADUATE-LEVEL THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY THAT SEEKS TO PROVIDE TRAINING AT THE BACHELOR’S, MASTER’S, AND DOCTORAL LEVELS TO PREPARE ITS STUDENTS FOR A VARIETY OF CHRISTIAN MINISTRIES.

The Trinity Evangelical Bible Seminary is a ministry that started from the Vision Ministries Church.  It began as a training ministry for Pastors who had bible software and wanted to learn how to use it.  We began training in 2002 at the Hearthside Suite in Sugarland, Texas.  As the ministry grew, we relocated to our current facility. Our President and founder is Dr. Deryck J. Hunte.  He had an ongoing vision to see the school grow and bring biblical studies to all who wanted to learn more about God’s word.  He is well qualified to teach and has been training many pastors, preachers, and teachers for the last fourteen years.

He had an ongoing vision to see the school grow and bring biblical studies to all who wanted to learn more about God’s word and how to study the bible. He is well qualified to teach and has been training many pastors, preachers, and teachers for the last Twenty two years.

Originally, we started this ministry to assist those who were spending thousands of dollars on software and never got full use out of it.  From there, the school expanded to include many other biblical studies.

In the last twenty years, we have trained over 400 pastors, lay people and leaders in the USA and Africa.  We have done on site training at Smyrna Baptist Church, Greater Pure Light Church, and St. Matthew Baptist Church in Houston.  We have also brought in local, state, and national speakers to further enhance the studies of our students.

Over the twenty years that we have been in existence, we have led twenty students to Christ in our seminary. Our board is dedicated to further enhancing our school in its endeavors and they continue to assist in promotion of its purposes.   We look forward to continued growth of our school. To God be the Glory.

The Meaning of our name

Trinity Evangelical Bible Seminary

EVANGELICAL

Evangelicals take the Bible seriously and believe in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.

The term “evangelical” comes from the Greek word euangelion, meaning “the good news” or the “gospel.” Thus, the evangelical faith focuses on the “good news” of salvation brought to sinners by Jesus Christ.

 SEMINARY

The English word is taken from the Latin seminarium,

 TRANSLATED AS SEED-BED

A piece of ground where seed is sown for producing plants for transplantation.
